- QUESTION: How to become a driver? How to get started? How does the hiring process work?
ANSWER: The hiring process is as follows:
- Call JIM to pass a phone interview.
- Click APPLY NOW above to fill out our QUICK MOBILE APP on any phone, tablet or computer. For your application status call PDP Trucking Office at 877-250-4789 ext 11.
- Application process usually takes 24-48 business hours to get an approval.
- Orientation will be at PDP Trucking Office in person at 1675 American Way, STE F, Cedar Hill TX 75104. The process include personal interview, driving test, pre-trip inspection test, passing a pre-employment drug test.
- Your pay must be discussed directly with Jim, owner of J - D & G's Outlaw Trucking.
- Once orientation is completed, expect to start work next day.
- QUESTION: What are minimum Requirements?
ANSWER:Each Driver will be evaluated on a case by case situation. However, here are some things we are looking at:
- Must have 2 years of verifiable OTR experience on a VAN trailer.
- No DWI or Drug convictions.
- Also, below are some things that may disqualify you:
- Multiple jobs in the last 12 months
- A PSP that demonstrates multiple safety violations
- Unsuitable driving record, ie; speeding tickets, reckless driving, accidents, etc.
- QUESTION: How much do you pay?
ANSWER: Pay is depending on experience, but it is a per mile rate.
- QUESTION: What kind of HOME TIME do you have?
ANSWER: Must be out minimum 2 weeks at a time, with 1 day off for every 7 days out. Preferred scheduled home time but we will have you home when you want to be home.
- QUESTION: Where are your trucks driving?
ANSWER: Mostly the south and the midwest, no East Cost for sure.
